On-going research at the Dept. of Physiotherapy at Lund University relevant for SOUND deals with different topics from basic studies of muscle function (muscle strength and endurance) to more applied research concerning prevention in working life and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal disorders in primary health care.
Some research aim to invent and reduce riskfactors in working life other research to invent healthy factors on individual,group or organisational level. The research aim to increase the physiotherapeutic evidence-base. Research from a biopsychological perspective is also increasing with a focus on motivational interventions. Examples of on-going research are 1) Evaluation of teambased occupational rehabilitation of patients with prolonged musculoskeletal disorders 2) Evaluation of prescribed physical activity 3)Motivation for change of work and life situation.
