Projects related to occupational musculoskeletal disorders.
- A ten year follow up of the 12607 individuals who participated in the Malmo Shoulder Neck study 1994, regarding sickness absence, disability pension and other forms of marginalisation from the labour market. Foremost with focus on musculoskeletal, psychiatric and cardiovascular diagnoses. Main exposures are mechanical exposures at work and psychosocial work related factors; i.e. psychological demands, decision latitude and work support. We are also interested in potentially modifying factors which were measured at baseline, like low vitality, poor sleep etc.
- In another project, we are analysing the correlation between low vitality as assessed with a questionnaire and the dynamic diurnal pattern of cortisol in saliva. This is a joint project with Associate professor Björn Karlson, who is principal investigator, in the Department of Occupational and Environmental Medicine at Lund University.
